View Renting FAQs
A: You can book a viewing via our website, which will give you direct access to when our site teams are available. This will also include evenings and weekends. If you would prefer, you can also register your interest on our website and our team will be in touch.
A: Absolutely. We can provide a virtual viewing no matter where you’re based, and you can have a virtual chat with our site staff too. To meet our affordability criteria, you may be required to have a UK-based guarantor, or 12 months of rent in advance, to proceed with your offer. Our affordability criteria can be found here – add a link from Rent Profile, once the doc is shared. We will also require you to have the ‘Right to Rent’ documentation, which can be found on the UK GOV website here.
A: Our tenancies range from twelve months to thirty-six months.
A: We offer virtual or in-person viewings, whatever suits you best. When booking a viewing on our website, you’ll be able to see our site team’s availability, which may include evenings and weekend viewings (subject to availability).
A: You can do this online via our website or one of our team can send you a reservation link via email. Both will require you to complete a simple form with some key details and pay the holding payment equivalent to 1 weeks rent. Our team are also happy to go through this with you on site should you decide to take the apartment following the viewing.
A: The booking process can be completed in less than five days, dependant on time required for referencing. Referencing is generally completed within two to three days. When booking with us, you can expect an easy to use and simple web-based process that will include referencing, paying initial monies and e-signing all those important documents.
A: Alternatively, customers have the choice to sign up to Reposit, it’s a one-off and non-refundable fee payable to Reposit, equivalent to 1 weeks rent. Please be warned that all fees are not refunded at the end of the tenancy, and any damages or outstanding rent is still the responsibility of the customer to settle.
A: Once all referencing checks are completed and passed, we will be in contact with you to finalise the last steps of your offer, which includes signing your Tenancy Agreement, paying your move-in monies, completing your ‘Right to Rent’ checks, arranging your check-in, and more.
A: Seamlessly via our resident portal. This will show you any outstanding rent charges and will give you the option to pay off the amount online using your card. Alternatively you can also pay your rent via a bank transfer.

A: Firstly, book a viewing at one of our developments via The Way of Life website (available properties), which will give you direct access with our site teams calendar. Following the viewing and once you’ve decided on the apartment that you would like to reserve, you can request an application link via the onsite team.
Within the link, you can complete an application form and pay a one week holding fee. Please note, the holding fee is non-refundable, so you need to be certain that you meet the affordability criteria prior to progressing. This can be discussed with the relevant building manager. Reservations can also be made directly from the Way of Life website, without a prior viewing.
Once the holding fee has been received, the building manager will check the application, approve and submit for referencing with Rent Profile. Then, referencing will be carried out by an external company (we use Rent Profile). They will issue you a link in order to submit your references for assessment.
When you’ve passed the referencing and ‘Right to Rent’ process you’ll then receive the AST, in order to review and sign. Sign it, pay the moving-in monies (minus the holding fee that was previously paid on application) and you’re all set. Your building managed will be in touch to arrange your check-in report and key collection.
A: Our referencing process is completed online via Rent Profile, and is accessible by either smartphone or your desktop. Once we have received your holding payment, each applicant (including any guarantors) will receive a Rent Profile link to complete a form with details about themselves. This will include your identity, address history, employment, credit checks, right-to-rent checks, and so on. Our team is also happy to go through this with you on-site, should you decide to take the apartment following a viewing.
A: This will depend on the response times of your referees (previous landlords, letting agents, employers, etc.) Reference reports are usually completed within three-to-five working days, but this will solely depend on how quickly your referees respond. When booking with us, you can expect an easy-to-use and simple web-based process that will include referencing, paying initial monies and e-signing all those important documents.
